Aftercare For Your New Tattoo

Plastic wrap Instructions

Leave the plastic wrap on your tattoo for 1-2 hours. The tattoo is still an open wound, and we want to protect it from contaminants, as well as contain any blood or plasma. After 1-2 hours, remove the plastic wrap and wash the tattoo with clean hands, and mild soap and water. It is important to wash all of the vaseline and blood off of the tattoo. Pat dry with a clean towel, and leave the tattoo unconvered for 2-3 hours. This allows the tattoo to dry up. If any more blood or plasma appears, wash it again. Now keep the tattoo clean, uncovered and dry for 2-3 hours. After 24 hours you may apply a moisturizer or lotion. Use a small amount and rub it in until it is absorbed. Use a fragrance free quality moisturizer, like Aveeno, Cetaphil, or Lubriderm. Apply the lotion once or twice a day, or as often as the tattoo feels like it is becoming too dry, butu use the lotion sparingly, for about 10-14 days. After 30 days, if your tattoo has any loss of color, or lines, contact us to schedule a free touch up.
